Schoolies Unearthed was created by travellers, for travellers. For Aussie and Kiwi legends ready to break the mold. We dreamed of rocking the boat of your ‘typical’ schoolies trip and creating something better. Something real, raw and meaningful. A trip that will really stick with you for life.
Fully powered by the award-winning team at Antipodeans, the Schoolies Unearthed crew is made up of highly experienced travellers and personal development experts (our founders have 30 years in the industry between them). We’re also a bunch of ex pro footballers, surfers, Dads and Land-Rover enthusiasts with beaten up passports and an evergreen love of the great outdoors. We genuinely get a kick out of helping our grads prepare for the most amazing trip of their lives - and it’s what keeps us on the road sharing the SU story (or buried in our Macbooks late at night). Say g’day to your SU crew.
Our fav red-head, if he’s not about to head overseas, Robbie will be making the most of good times with his mates on the beaches of Sydney, his home town. You know you’re in capable hands when you sign up for a Schoolies Unearthed trip. Robbie’s extensive travel and guiding experience makes him hard to beat in the biz, and his passion for building skills in young people (confidence, patience, resilience, curiosity and awareness to name a few) always shines through.
Where you’ll find him: Outside mostly. Camping, riding, snorkelling and just generally being an active energiser bunny. He’ll slow down for a good Spielberg movie fest, of course.
Favourite recent trip: Finding a quiet snowy corner on top of Mt Kilimanjaro and watching the sunrise over the quiet savannah (cue 'The Lion King' music).
Known around Schoolies Unearthed HQ for always being the one with the loud chat in the office, Marina also supplies the team with a steady stream of delicious baked goodies. (We love you Marina, never change). She's the brains behind all things digital and types faster than all of us put together.
Where you'll find her: Feeding her chickens, planning another overseas adventure, or camping and hiking in the wilderness in her old school Land-Rover.
Favourite recent trip: Getting hitched in Greece with a crazy story to match.
Our resident British pocket rocket, Stace took a gap year to Oz and never went back, instead setting up digs in lush Byron Bay and adopting a Dalmatian puppy. Dreams. Ditching the finance world to dive into all things Schoolies Unearthed, Stace has answered every weird and wonderful schoolies questions under the sun, and does it all with a grin.
Where you’ll find her: When she’s not on the phone, text or web chat with our SU grads, she’s taking lunch breaks on the beach, walking her doggo and making the rest of us crack up.
Favourite recent trip: Kicking back in the Philippines with bae.
A co-founder of Schoolies Unearthed, Dan's got three kids but is still a big kid at heart. Beyond passionate about getting grads overseas and out of their comfort zone, it's hard to not get caught up in his enthusiasm for life and love of a bit of classic banter. With 15 years experience in the travel and education industry under his belt, Dan's proud to be changing the face of schoolies in Australia.
Where you’ll find him: If he's not speaking at schools across the country about all things travel, you'll most likely find him near a footy oval of some description, be it coaching, umpiring his kids or vocally supporting the Cats at the MCG. Strong piccolo enthusiast.
Favourite recent trip: The W Trek in Patagonia.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Loves a laugh and not taking himself too seriously. Josh has a strong appetite for proper football (AFL) supporting the Richmond Tigers. Spends his weekends roaming the streets of inner-city Melbourne on his motorbike or toying in a bit of astrology.
Where you’ll find him: Speaking to high school seniors about our grad trips and cracking the odd
Favourite recent trip: Japan, would go back in a heartbeat!
HEAD OF MARKETING
Our marketing guru, Eb's been around since day dot, building the SU brand and 'gramming the entire way. She loves that Schoolies Unearthed can really change the way that grads approach life, and won't stop banging on about her own gap year metamorphosis.
Where you’ll find her: In the sun somewhere likely. Surfing with mates up and down the coast, in her van or perhaps streaming some kind of uplifting sports doco. Particularly loves a good font.
Favourite recent trip: Surfing in the Phillipines.
It's pretty hard to find anything but a smile on this guy's face. Juggling Uni with hanging out with us at Schoolies Unearthed HQ, Liam knows what it's like to be a millennial (and makes sure we stay in touch with what the cool kids are doing). A die-hard Carlton Blues fan, he reckons this year could be the year.
Where you’ll find him: Rounding up his mates for the ultimate boys trip overseas, hanging out with the fam or speaking to Year 12s about SU.
Favourite recent trip: Absolutely loved Cambodia - in particular Siem Reap. Has a trip planned to Turkey that might take the cake.
Co-founder of Schoolies Unearthed, Lachie knows about the power of travel, and has spent his career sharing this knowledge and passion with thousands of young people. Calling the warm waters of Byron Bay home, Lach is driven by the positive impact Schoolies Unearthed has on both our high school grads and the communities we work with overseas.
Where you’ll find him: On the beaches of Byron Bay with his kids, surfing or hitting the slopes in winter.
Favourite recent trip: You can't beat a surf trip to Indo, or bike riding through the Northern Hills of Vietnam.
