Always Ethical, Always Sustainable
Thoroughly researched and proudly sustainable, our community volunteer projects overseas are the ultimate highlight for many Schoolies Unearthed teams. When you choose to volunteer, you choose to truly immerse yourself in, and gain knowledge of your new village home. Whether you’re helping out on building and renovation projects or working on conservation and education initiatives, you will interact directly with the local community and contribute meaningfully to their lives.
Some of our past projects include –
Renovating and building new school classrooms
Solar hot water and heating installation projects
Building green houses for micro financing schemes
Constructing toilets and washing facilities to assist with health and hygiene issues
Building kitchens and vegetable patches to assist with meals for students
Assisting with wildlife conservation projects

We say no to orphanages
With Schoolies Unearthed there is no ‘voluntourism’, gratuitous projects or orphanage visits. Instead, we collaborate with local partners and communities to ascertain every project is sustainable and responsible. Read more about our stance on orphanages here.
We partner with the UN
We are a signatory of the United Nations Global compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. Our community projects align with the
17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development, which means when you volunteer with us, you’re working towards global goals that stand for a better future. And we think that’s pretty great.
